JHS Analytic at the
Nepal Medical Lab Expo 2026

Over 475 exhibitors and 800 international brands at Bhrikuti Mandap, Kathmandu — the Nepal Medical Lab Expo 2026 was three days of exactly the kind of conversation that moves Nepal's healthcare sector forward. Lab managers, hospital procurement teams, biomedical engineers, and clinicians all in one place, looking at what's new, what's proven, and what they can actually get hold of and rely on locally. JHS Analytic Traders was at Stall A-132, Hall 1 — and this is what we brought.

One of the things we hear most at expos is that people want to talk to someone who actually knows the product — not just read a leaflet. This year, our global partners were with us on the ground, which meant visitors at Stall A-132 could get direct technical answers in person. Whether the question was about a molecular diagnostic platform, a CSSD autoclave, or life science equipment, the right person was there to answer it — without routing anything overseas.

Cowin Gene's NATBox System Mini II opened the molecular diagnostics section — an automated point-of-care molecular platform, with Cowin Gene representatives at the stall to walk visitors through the technology in person. Alongside it, QIAGEN had two platforms on display at the stall: the QIAstat-Dx, a USFDA-cleared syndromic testing system that uses multiplex RT-PCR to screen for respiratory, gastrointestinal, and meningitis/encephalitis pathogens from a single sample cartridge; and QuantiFERON-TB Gold Plus, the WHO-endorsed blood test for latent TB detection — already a standard part of Nepal's diagnostic workflow.

For clinical microscopy, the Nikon Eclipse Ei — a compact, ergonomic upright laboratory microscope with LED illumination — was on display through JHS. And on the automated molecular side, Macro Micro-Test's Eudemon™ AIO800 offered a fully integrated, sample-in answer-out nucleic acid detection system — with panels covering RTI, HPV, and companion diagnostics — requiring no dedicated molecular laboratory to operate.

Infection control and sterilization quality assurance were represented by Terragene's Bionova biological indicators, which cover steam, hydrogen peroxide, and dry heat sterilization cycle validation — the standard for CSSD monitoring. Periclave's CSSD and Waste Management Autoclaves, with more than 40 active installations across Nepal, showed what a fully-supported local sterilization solution looks like in practice.

The blood bank section featured Haier medical refrigerators, tube sealers, and blood collection systems. Instruments from Biobase, DLAB, Palintest, Centron, and Epredia covered laboratory equipment, water quality testing, and histology — completing a stall that reflected what a full-service medical equipment supplier in Nepal can bring to every department of a modern diagnostic laboratory.
